Mission Statement
The mission of the Higher Education Division is to provide guidance and financial assistance to Ho-Chunk tribal members who intend to pursue a post-secondary education. Scholarships are granted as a privilege with the intent that graduates will return to the Ho-Chunk Nation to use their knowledge and expertise to protect and strengthen the economic self-sufficiency and sovereignty of the Ho-Chunk Nation.

2013 -2014 Ho-Chunk Scholarship Application
Eligibility requirements:
1. Must be an enrolled Ho-Chunk member
2. Must be a college student (tech or 4-year) spring 2013
3. Must be in good standing with the Higher Education Division
4. Must be in good standing with your academic institution
Internship Applications are due April 5, 2013

June 3 - August 30, 2013 - The internship is a PAID position
Ho-Chunk Nation Service Scholarship Policy (new 2012-2013 Academic Year)
The Ho-Chunk Service Scholarship Program will provide opportunities to Ho-Chunk members seeking to supplement their education in order to continue current employment or to find new, meaningful employment, meeting the immediate needs in the Nation’s workforce. This scholarship provides funding for licensures, certifications, second baccalaureate, and select advanced degrees (previously called "lateral"). Recipients of this scholarship are required to work for the Ho-Chunk Nation upon successful completion of his/her degree program.
