- Here is the Agenda
for the January 14, 2017 Supreme Court session.
- On September 10, 2016, the Ho-Chunk Nation Supreme Court
approved revisions to the
Rules for Admission to Practice in the Courts of the Ho-Chunk
- Lay Advocacy Training will be held May 1 - May 5,
2017. Contact the Sr. Staff Attorney to sign-up
to attend: (715) 284-2722, firstname.lastname@example.org
- On January 19, 2017, the Ho-Chunk Legislature enacted
Resolution 1/19/17B, "Quick Passage Procedure to Amend Chapter V of
the Employment Relations Act 6 HCC § 5." This resolution
changes the process for employees to file grievances - all employee
grievance appeals will now be reviewed by the Ho-Chunk Nation Trial
Court rather than through the Grievance Review Board. Employees
must first grieve to their immediate supervisor, and can only
appeal to the Trial Court after exhausting the Administrative
Review Process. The revised Petition
for Administrative Review and the revised Employment
Relations Act are now available on the website.
- On February 7, 2017, the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature enacted
Family Wellness Court Code, 4 HCC § 16.
