Planning & Development
Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Planning and
Development Division to work cooperatively with the various
Ho-Chunk Nation programs and communities to provide decision-makers
with the information and technical support necessary to formulate
comprehensive plans, make informed decisions, and develop new
initatives. This mission is achieved through research, critical
analysis, grantsmanship, and project administration, on behalf of
current and future generations of Ho-Chunk members.
- Each Planning & Development staff member has a specific
role based on their skills and expertise. However, most staff have
experience or have been cross-trained to serve in multiple roles.
The division is located in the Ho-Chunk Nation Executive Offices
located in Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
- The Planning & Development Division serves at the
discretion of the Executive Director of Administration and the
Office of the President.
- The Division assists both the Legislative and Executive
Branches throughout the planning phases of a project. The Division
assists Ho-Chunk Nation programs by preparing grant applications,
assessing policy impacts, and researching.
- In short, it is our job to objectively analyze the issues
facing the Nation and develop comprehensive stratagies to address
