The purpose of the energy survey is to support the development of the Strategic Energy Plan. Through grant funds, we have partnered with consultants, Tribal Ready and 7Skyline, to assist in this process. Currently, the plan is in the data collection phase, with a target completion date of March 2025. A critical component of this phase is the energy survey itself. The Ho-Chunk Nation envisions a future where sustainable energy and renewable resources empower the communities and businesses while honoring our deep cultural connection to Mother Earth and our longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship. As stewards of the land, we aim to lead by example in supporting a clean energy economy that enhances the well-being of the Ho-Chunk people, protects natural resources, reduces electricity cost, and preserves Ho-Chunk traditions. By respecting Mother Earth and embracing sustainable practices, we ensure a vibrant and spirited future for generations to come.
