HO-CHUNK NATION
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

August 16, 2019

Greetings,

It has come to light that there has been a misappropriation of tribal property at the Office of the General Council and an investigation is being conducted.

The Ho-Chunk Nation Office of the General Council has new leadership.

Cari Fay-Bohman, Purchase/Referred Care Assistant Administrator, was temporarily reassigned on August 15, 2019, as the General Council Advocate for the Ho-Chunk Nation Office of the General Council.

The Employment Relations Act defines temporary reassignment as: A short term placement in a different position of employment not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days.

Cari Fay-Bohman takes the role formerly occupied by the late General Council Advocate Joy Thompson-Bonanno.

“I am very humbled and honored to work for the Nation, in assuring that the General Council takes place, as I feel it’s important that the Ho-Chunk people’s voices be heard,” Cari Fay said.

Thank you,

President Marlon WhiteEagle
