Ho-Chunk Traditions will help families connect with the Wąąkšik Woošgą (Ho-Chunk Way of Life). This option will expose you to cultural traditions, ceremonies, art, kinship, societal structure and social mores of the Ho-Chunk people. This course will allow you to learn more about Ho-Chunk traditions and help participants create a positive self-image.

Bringing Hoocąk Home is an online family-oriented language program. This new language course is designed by the Ho-Chunk Language division. In this language learning experience, Wąąkšik Ho’į Pįį Hirušją Kįį participants and their families will work towards earning points while learning and using Hoocąk in the home. Each week will have its own theme and families will learn new and exciting ways to use the language. Needs Google Email for Google Classroom.

Helping students with academic success by offering a chrome book to help connect the student to courses offered and be able to complete all work assigned in the program. (Once per lifetime, per student in this grant program. Technology is dependent on funds available).

Events will include virtual experiences when appropriate. In the works: On-line trades-professional panel series on the Native American Arts and Crafts Act! College visit to UW Madison! College visit to UW Green Bay! We have extensions on the paaxge earrings classes and cabochon classes. Possibly a medallion class. These events will allow families to learn more about career and college options all while incorporating our culture, history and language. The wide variety of events expose families to all the options available from trade schools, military, both public & private colleges and more. Multiple events will take place each semester.
