Purpose.
The purpose for the Education Department is to assist tribal members in gaining access to education.
Mission
The Ho-Chunk Department of Education shall promote academic excellence and perpetuate and preserve the cultural values, history, and language of the Ho-Chunk Nation. In doing so, the Department shall safeguard the interests of the Nation, enhance the sovereignty of the Nation, and exercise stewardship over those resources committed to it by the Nation and foreign jurisdictions.
Functions
Establish programs to provide financial and supportive services to Tribal members in support of their educational goals. Provide for effective communication and dissemination of Tribal information to the Tribal population.
