Food Distribution delivers during COVID-19 crisis

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, volunteers and employees helped with commodities distribution at the Ho-Chunk Resort and Casino in Wisconsin Dells. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, drivers were required to remain in their vehicles while volunteers and employees placed food in the backs of their vehicles. Ho-Chunk Nation President Marlon WhiteEagle was one of the volunteers, doing his part to help people who are struggling to put food on the table. According to Food Distribution Director Andrew Rave, the Trump Administration has allocated more funds to help people in need, which may mean employees who were laid off due to the crisis may soon be able to obtain commodities as well.
People wanting to apply to receive commodities can fill out a form at: http://health.ho-chunk.com/docs/FOOD_DISTRIBUTION_APPLICATION.pdf and return it to Food Distribution Program, N6562 Lumber Jack Guy Road, Black River Falls, WI 54642.
