Department Of Personnel
The Department of Personnel strives to keep accurate personnel records on employees of the Ho-Chunk Nation, providing courteous customer service while assisting employees and potential employees through the hiring process. Within the Department of Personnel, the Insurance Division is there to assist employees with their insurance needs.
The Department of Human Resources will strive to provide helpful, knowledgeable and professional resources while maintaining integrity, confidentiality and operational consistency by providing great leadership to our Ho-Chunk Nation workforce.
The Department of Human Resources will provide professional guidance and operational consistency through leadership, training, education and customer service to promote high quality Human Resources service to the Nation’s employees. The Department shall safeguard the interests of the Nation, enhance the sovereignty of the Nation, and exercise stewardship over those resources committed to it by the Nation and foreign jurisdictions.
While transitioning into a Human Resources Department, we are still maintaining the same services as the Personnel Department and Insurance Department. The department maintains records related to employment, unemployment benefits, family medical leave, grievances, all insurance related services, including elder insurance, 401(k), short-term disability, employee health insurance coverages.
