How our mission works for you

CONNECTING YOUR FAMILY TO THE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES YOU NEED

Our mission focuses on supporting Native American students and their families in navigating the educational resources available to them. By connecting families with programs offered by local school districts, the Ho-Chunk Nation, and Johnson O'Malley, we aim to ensure that every student has access to the tools they need to succeed academically. This partnership not only helps students achieve their academic goals but also strengthens the community by fostering collaboration among families, educators, and local organizations.

We believe that preserving cultural values, history, and language is vital to a well-rounded education. Our goal is to create an environment where students can excel academically while also embracing their heritage. We provide resources and support that encourage students to learn about their culture, nurturing a sense of pride that translates into their studies. By integrating cultural education with academic programs, we create a richer learning experience that benefits all students.

Student & Family IEP Advocacy

This portion of our mission is dedicated to advocating for Native American students and their families, particularly those with Individual Education Plans (IEPs). We understand that navigating the educational system can be challenging, especially when specific accommodations are needed to support a child's unique learning requirements. By providing support to students and their families we aim to empower parents to effectively advocate for their children's educational needs. Our goal is to ensure that every student with an IEP receives the tailored support they require to achieve academic excellence, while fostering a strong sense of cultural identity and belonging within the educational environment.

Student and Family Incident Advocacy

This piece of our mission emphasizes the importance of advocacy for indigenous families and students, particularly when it comes to student incident reports in schools. We recognize that incidents involving students can significantly impact their educational experience and emotional well-being. By providing guidance and support, we empower families to navigate the reporting process effectively and ensure that their concerns are heard and addressed. Our goal is to promote a safe and nurturing learning environment where students feel protected and valued, while also fostering open communication between families and school officials to resolve any issues that may arise. This advocacy is crucial in helping students thrive academically and socially within their educational settings.

School Community Relations

Our mission is dedicated to empowering indigenous students and their families by providing access to essential educational resources and services. We aim to bridge the gap between families and local school districts, the Ho-Chunk Nation, and Johnson O'Malley, ensuring that students have the support they need to achieve academic excellence. By fostering strong partnerships within the community, we can create a collaborative environment that promotes both education and cultural heritage.

We deeply value the importance of preserving cultural values, history, and language within the educational experience. By integrating these elements into academic programs, we help students embrace their identity while excelling in their studies. Our commitment to cultural education enriches the learning environment, allowing students to take pride in their heritage and encouraging them to thrive.

Furthermore, we advocate for families, particularly those with students who have Individualized Education Plans and those navigating student incident reports. We strive to empower parents with the knowledge and resources needed to advocate effectively for their children. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive educational environment where all students can succeed and feel valued. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of Native American students and their families, paving the way for a brighter future.
