ADMIN ORDER 24-19
In Re the Matter of Child Support Payments
The above Administrative Order applies to child support cases which were making payments using Per Capita Distribution. Please read the order carefully to ensure that you do not fall behind in your payments. Currently there is no Per Capita Distribution and the HCN Legislature has NOT authorized any garnishment from the General Welfare payments. The only way that child support can be taken from your General Welfare payments is if you voluntarily make payments through the HCN Treasury Department. If you do not sign up for voluntary payments, and you are supposed to be paying child support, your arrears balance will continue to grow until you start making payments. If you are currently making or receiving payments you do not need to do anything. If you have any questions please contact the HCN Child Support Agency or the HCN Trial Court.
