Mission Statement
The Division of Planning & Development will provide the decision-makers of the Ho-Chunk Nation with information and technical support necessary to formulate comprehensive plans, make informed decisions, and develop new initiatives. This mission is achieved through research, critical analysis, project administration, and grant writing.
Services to the Nation
Planning & Development indirectly services the Ho-Chunk population by providing assistance to all Ho-Chunk Nation branches of government. Planning provides technical support to the Ho-Chunk Nation through facilitation of a project which may include, but is not limited to research and writing white papers, concept papers, and position papers; perform studies by collecting data, analyzing data, and summarizing data into a final written report supported by graphs and/or charting; assist with grant writing; strategic plans, program plans; and assist with projects such as broadband planning, land use planning, and renewable energy planning.
Grants Specialist
This position is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals, which include but are not limited to federal and state government agencies, other agencies and organizations that provide grant funding to native nation governments, and nonprofit foundation organizations, which will support the goals and priorities of the Ho-Chunk Nation.
Management Analyst
Responsible for the overall assistance related to direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specified assignments ensuring consistent management and implementation with the Nation’s strategies, goals, and objectives.
Planning & Development Director
Provides direction, leadership and general oversight to the Ho-Chunk Nation’s Division of Planning and Development. Facilitates the development of strategy and policy in collaboration with the Nation’s Executive Departments and decision-makers. Ensures that the Ho-Chunk Nation's mission, direction, and strategic core values are incorporated into operational activities and services.
Energy Management Manager
