The Department of Agriculture is responsible for establishing and managing agricultural activities on Ho-Chunk lands. The Department also oversees agriculture leases with farmers, implements crop planning, planting, maintenance, harvest, and processing, and provides outreach and educational programs.
Vision Statement
The vision of the Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Agriculture is to promote a healthy tribal population and environment through the revitalization and restoration of traditional agricultural and land management practices, which includes the reassertion of control over Ho-Chunk Nation food systems.
